Nintendo

Ever since Nintendo was found in Japan the company has been a success.  Nintendo opened in 1889 to create handmade hanafuda cards.  In 1963 the company had a niche in many businesses including a cab company.  Despite its start in many businesses, the company eventually turned into a video game company.

Nintendo released their first video game console in 1977.  It was the 1983 release that was most successful in launching the game company into what it is today.  They have thus far released the NES, Super Nintendo, N64, GameCube, Wii, and have a portable line of video games as well.  The handheld game systems include Game and Watch, Game Boy, Virtual Boy, and the DS.

Donkey Kong was the most successful video arcade game to be released by Nintendo in 1981.  Their next product that is still the most popular today was the Mario Brothers concept.  They released the first game along with the NES system.  Super Mario Bros. is based on two plumbers that must rescue the princess.  The first video game had a scrolling screen so the player could not go back, and had to keep moving or the game would end.

Nintendo is not the only game system out there on the market, but it is clear the company has had great success in any venture, especially their game consoles.  Their constant remake of their game systems to improve them keep individuals interested and wondering what could be next from Nintendo.  The only game console that did not succeed as much as they hoped was the GameCube.
