Boston Dynamics has released a most advanced quadruped robot. Many think this is a tall claim, but the quadruped robot is definitely something to behold. They have called this quadruped robot “Big Dog.” The robot has four legs which make it look slightly like a horse without a head. The idea of this machine is to carry ammunition, food, and other supplies into battle.
Their creation for the quadruped robot allows it to run at 3.3 miles per hour, climb over rough terrain, and up slopes that are 35 degrees. The quadruped robot is 120 pounds. The robot is rather noisy for its design. The legs are articulated like an animal and they are not the best at absorbing shock from a large jump.
