Patent

In 2006 there were a number of patents applied for.  A patent is a tool used to put legal restrictions on an invention, so that the owner holds the rights.  In other words a patent states who the owner of the invention is and what it will be used for.  In 2006 a patent scorecard was offered detailing the patents applied for in that year.

One patent is the Adaptable Radiation Monitoring system and method.  This was given to Daniel Archer and several other individuals on the team.  There was also a patent for aerodynamic Drag reduction Apparatus, Alternating Polarity Operation, autostereoscopic projection viewer, and many others.  These patents allow the companies creating these items to make sure no one else can create a similar product.
