A new innovative product was released in 2006 called Flavor Tops. The concept offers a bottle of water, with a cap filled with ingredients to flavor the water. The flavors could be medicine, herbal supplements, or just options like lemon or cherry to flavor the water. The Flavor Tops do not have to have one ingredient. They can have multiple ingredients to make almost any drink you would want.
Water is a plentiful resource. The company Innovation Fund LLC stated that they wanted to make things a little easier on consumers. Troops especially have a hard time getting the drinks they want or like to drink. They have water available, but power drinks, herbal supplements, and other options are not as plentiful. By offering the Flavor Tops they can virtually have any drink they want.
The concept opens up the market even more for other beverage companies. Individuals can just buy the Flavor Tops that they will enjoy and grab a bottle of water. The Flavor Tops are non- refrigerated so they are quite safe to drink. Such innovation is new. We have long had packets of crystal light or other products to purchase that you just add water to. These products require that the consumer open the packet and pour the powder into the bottle. Most of the time the powder will spill around the top of the bottle or miss completely, but the Flavor Tops take care of that problem. The cap must be screwed into place before the powder is released into the water.
