He published a magazine called Student. In the 70’s, Richard Branson set up an audio record mail order business. Eventually this was turned into Virgin Records. Now there are many Virgin Megastores in the UK.
Richard Branson grew Virgin into a huge company with over 360 entities like Virgin Atlantic Airways. In 1992 Richard Branson decided to go further into business with Virgin Trains, a railway business. Other Richard Branson companies have been Virgin express, Virgin Nigeria, Virgin America, Virgin Cola, and even Virgin Vodka.
Branson is also known for his world record breaking attempts. In 1985 he tried to cross the Atlantic with the fastest time.
