Best Buy hired Steve Bendt and Gary Koelling in 2006 to create a new marketing campaign. What they created was the Blue Shirt Nation. The Blue Shirt Nation is a community of Best Buy employees. These employees meet regularly to share their knowledge, discuss practices, and even share frustrations. The Blue Shirt Nation is more than just a discussion group though. The committee is set up for employees to share their aspirations, jokes, and get in touch with the consumer community.
Blue Shirt Nation is just another way to reach the employees and the consumer community to find out what is going on in the world. Blue Shirt Nation helps develop products and services that will gain more customers because of the insight they get from the outside.
