Gary Hamel has been extremely successful in his career, becoming a professor of strategic management.  He is a visitor of the London Business School, and also at the University of Michigan.  Hamel was also asked to speak at Harvard Business School about his thoughts on strategic management.  Strategic management talks about a plan of action that will achieve a specific goal.  The tactics to reach that goal vary in business, making it important those managers are able to change with the tactics.

The professor has written several books on strategic management and his theory of Core Competence.  Gary Hamel has written nine papers and books detailing his views on business management.  A few of the papers are reviews of other concepts he has been asked to look at.
