An orchestra is an instrumental ensemble with a number of instruments from the string, brass, and woodwind family. Percussion is also part of an orchestra. Managing an orchestra can be a rewarding experience for the right person. There are different styles of orchestras that exist. Some are chamber orchestras in which there are fifty or fewer players. A symphony or philharmonic orchestra has about 100 players.
