The future of technology is pretty clear, especially when looking at the strides which have been made in the last few decades. The type of technology that is coming varies from computers to artificial intelligence. Already computers have become something that the 19th century would never have imagined. They were not even a glimmer back then. One new technology is the carbon nanotube microprocessors. Another idea that is being heavily discussed is how to make a self driving car work. The technology for the self driving car already exists, but mass producing the car and having it work on the open road is a whole other story.
Quantum cryptography is another concept being worked on. Other ideas are being fined tuned so that they can be released into the market. All technology shares the same promise. Each idea being worked on will eventually transform how we live our lives. Instead of spending hours traveling it may take us an hour with super airplanes. Already we have had the Concord and now other ideas are in the works to improve that technology.
AMD, IBM, and Intel have a silicon based CPU which has been used for a decade. However, they are looking to change it to make it even better. By using different materials they hope to make the CPU last longer as well as be more beneficial. They may get rid of the silicon altogether. This is the future of technology many of us can look forward to over the next ten to twenty years.
