In 2006 a very innovative individual created a self parking Lego car. The Lego car is just a toy, but the innovation which allows it to self park is what caught many people’s attention. The self parking Lego car has a motor and steering inside the creation. There is a tiny ultrasonic sensor on the self parking Lego car. This sensor determines where objects are so that it can park. The sensor can read as close as 5cm between objects.
The creator of the Lego car made it so that it can do all the movements necessary to park it without a driver. The car can even stop itself when it gets too close to an object. It will say “good distance” and also “goodbye.”
