ATM or automatic teller machines have been around for a while now. Many of us use the ATM rather than going inside the bank or even spending time in line at the drive up. In recent years engineers have been working on an envelope free ATM.
This option has to do with deposits you can make with the machine. When you pull up at the machine you are able to put money or checks in an envelope with a deposit slip. You then put the envelope into the ATM and tell it the amount of cash and checks.
Companies are looking at a way that they will no longer need the envelopes and can process the ATM transaction without it. At the moment envelope free machines have not replaced the older versions.
