Billboard is a weekly magazine in the United States. Each week Billboard offers the top 100 song hits regardless of genre. There is also a Billboard 200 survey that deals with album sales. Each week the company releases the magazine as well as charts to the news media and music television channels. Artists strive to get on the list from this magazine. It is the primary who’s who list and what is most popular. The Billboard list is compiled by how many listeners the songs receive and also critic reviews.
Many of the songs that are on the Billboard list will remain on it for weeks. Some songs have been in the number one spot for over 20 weeks, as they have been that popular.
