The French Revolution was an important war in France during the late 1700’s. The revolution was both political and social, in which radical change occurred. The French Revolution restructured the government which had been a monarchy. The changes made it less of a monarchy and more about citizens and their rights. The changes made during the French Revolution caused several years of turmoil with trial and execution of the king and repression.
The French Revolution was responsible for helping bring modern France to the forefront. At one point during the French Revolution one part of the country was a republic while the other was a constitutional monarchy. The causes of the war were quite long, but much of it had to do with famine and malnutrition of the French people.
