Arnold Schwarzenegger is perhaps one of the most famous individuals in the United States. Schwarzenegger began as a body builder before turning actor. The Austrian moved to the United States to appear in films. In 2003 Schwarzenegger decided to quit acting and turn to politics full time. He was elected the 38th Governor of California. He was re- elected in 2007 for a second term.
Schwarzenegger had a long career starting at 15 with weight training and winning the Mr. Universe competition at 22. He starred in films like Conan the Barbarian, Terminator, and True Lies. Schwarzenegger has always been political, and shared his views throughout his acting career. His terms in office have not been easy, as many in politics opposed his election.
